Lexington High School Band

The Lexington Middle School marching band will be attending the 2011 Harvest of Harmony Parade in Grand Island on October 1, 2011.  The marching band which is composed of 7^th and 8^th graders will be making their 3^rd appearance in this annual event which has been hosted in Grand Island for the past 70 years.

The Middle School band students are currently working on marching fundamentals along with learning and memorizing memorizing music in order to prepare for their performance.  The band this year has a total of 119 students and is the only middle school band to participate in the Harvest of Harmony Parade.  The seventh and eighth grade bands will practice separately until the final week before the parade where they will combine for a mass rehearsal.  This year’s parade will be televised from 8:00 am to 11:00 am on NTV.
